The Nahum Bedein Center for Near East Policy Research
Mission Statement
The Nahum Bedein Center for Near East Policy Research uncovers facts that lie beneath the surface of mainstream media news coverage of Israel, paying particular attention to the human face of all those affected by the continuing Israeli-Arab war.
The Center engages experts who are fluent in both Hebrew and Arabic, commissioning documentary films, news reports, analytical pieces and monographs for the foreign press. These works are disseminated in public briefings for members of governments and their staffers worldwide, opinion makers, journalists and any venue which can impact positive change for Israel.
A major point of focus is our research of UNRWA policies, which currently advocates the ‘right of return’ through a war curriculum in schools and summer camps. The Center empowers nations that fund UNRWA with information they need in order to create transparency and demand reform, so that UNRWA practices can conform with the UNRWA policy motto, that “Peace Starts Here.”
The Center also focuses its’ research on the current dangers of foreign aid to the Palestinian Security Forces and the planned deployment of the PSF near Jerusalem and Hebron.
